Back to Business!

There are simply so many things to be thankful for that it’s hard to know just where to start.

Summer was a blur, I’m not sure how it passed so quickly between the 10 hour days and swim meet Saturdays. Just when we thought we were about to get back to the “normal” routine of fall, Harvey had other plans. We were fortunate to have avoided the direct impact, but so many that we love and care about were not so lucky. It’s hard to celebrate your own blessings when the ones you love have lost so much.
I was finally able to complete my Associates degree and I am anxiously awaiting that piece of paper! No rest for the wicked, enrolled in two more courses this fall.

We survived the first week of school and we’re officially back into full on fall schedules. TEMA rehearsals, football practice, dance practice, and HOMEWORK for both mom and kids!

I’ve been horribly neglecting so many aspects of my routine and I’m working on getting that back. There simply aren’t enough hours in the day to waste any of them. Screen time and social media will need to be limited for myself and the littles. We just don’t have time to waste!

So starting this week we’re back to business. I found a training plan for a 50 mile race in December and the mileage requirement is savage AF and the ONLY way to make it happen is going to be reinstating the morning runs. I need a solid non-run day workout plan that takes less than 30 minutes. (If you have any that you swear by, please link or leave it in the comments.) That’ll also be easier to do soon since we’re moving to a first floor apartment and nobody can bitch about the noise! Besides that, there’s just too much going on in the afternoons and evenings that would enable excuse mode.

So, we’ll keep this post short and sweet because there are a few more things that need to get done before bedtime!
What is your best strategy to get back on track in the fall?
