Here we are 30 days into #NoExcusesNovember and I haven’t posted an update since day 5. Are we surprised? To be honest, not really. I always seem to start out strong and then life happens and I just sort of lose my grip and posting updates takes a nose dive.
I was going to start this post with a whole bunch of ‘beat myself ups’ and ‘not good enoughs,’ should have dones and could have dones but, to be fair and completely honest even though my running and training has taken a back seat (a whopping 23.3 running miles this month), I have been busy doing things that are fun for my family and good for my mental health. Things that help me feel connected to myself, the blogging community and things that have given me a little “break” from the every day.
I attended two amazing dinner events with the Houston Food Bloggers Collective where not only did I experience unbelievably delicious food and great company I was also able to step outside my comfort zone and interact socially with other adults. I have always been very shy so going to these types of events are great for learning how to overcome that.

I finished off this crazy #noExcusesNovember with a 2 mile run, 100 burpees and a HUGE step toward the future (That part is a secret for now, but I promise it’s going to be GREAT!!!)
I am determined to send 2015 out on a high note so I have committed to a couple MAJOR fitness goals. First, I am committing to the Bigfoot running challenge (150 miles in December) and in honor of training for my Spartan Trifecta in 2016 I have joined a group to encourage me to do 100 burpees for 100 days in a row starting today. If you miss a day, you start over at day 1. I can do this.
Don’t forget to enter for your chance at a FREE Spartan Race Entry!!
I’m going to need accountability and support. I look forward to all of you keeping me on track!
How are you winding down 2015? Are you already planning out your 2016?!?! I sure am! And it’s going to be BIG!
