You know you’ve been busy when you pull out your notebook to look over what happened in August and there is just.one.page.
I guess we left off in July, when I said that I was ready to start over. Unfortunately I didn’t make much progress with that bodybuilding workout. I did it for a few days but then I just sort of stopped. Running has my heart right now and I need to remember that it’s ok to not DO ALL THE THINGS.
My August first stats were:
They’re exactly the same. Not fabulous, but I also had a pretty low mileage month too (68.8 miles), so I can’t be upset with remaining the same.
School started on the 24th and that’s actually been good for my mindset. Getting into a routine is key for my success.
Speaking of routine, I definitely need to stick to a strict schedule if I’m going to even get close to accomplishing my 2015 mile goal this year. Mathematically I need to run 295+ miles each month for the next four months. I know, it’s a ridiculously lofty goal, but I’m going to give it a try. To give myself some extra accountability I’ve signed up for a crazy as hell running challenge- The Traveling Man with Old Guy Running . I’m counting on that community and y’all to help me stay motivated.
It’s a lot of mileage no doubt, and the schedule looks a bit like this:
Total Monthly Miles: 300
Total Weekly Miles: 75
Day One: 10 miles
Day Two: 11 miles
Day Three: 12 miles
Day Four: 13 miles
Day Five: 14 miles
Day Six: REST DAY
Day Seven: 15 miles
