Life Lately January Review

It’s kind of hard for me to believe it’s only been a week since my last post. I guess I’m used to taking entirely too much time between posts! YAY me for more posting!

One of the things I really wanted to get in the habit of was getting up early to get my runs in, but honestly that still hasn’t been something I can do consistently. I’m good a day or two and then I just feel entirely too exhausted to drag myself out of bed. That being said, I have NOT slacked off on getting my runs in. I’m pretty darn proud of that!

Sunday – 7.2 miles

Monday – 5.5 miles

Tuesday – 6 miles

Wednesday – 6.1

Thursday – REST (I wasn’t going to, but I decided to listen to my body)

Friday – 8 miles

Saturday – 5.75 miles walking at Monster Jam with my boy

I finished out January with 103.75 miles! Pretty much on track with a plan to rock out 2015 this year!

This week my boy turned 10 and Saturday was his annual trip to Monster Jam (that should will get it’s own post!)

 It’s been a great week overall! Here’s a quick glance in pictures…

Of course…the foods…wpid-20150127_190145.jpg wpid-20150126_185401.jpg Yes that IS a fish stick sandwich, yes, it was ridiculously delicious!wpid-20150128_201153.jpg I own EVERY SINGLE one of the 1710 calories in that burger, chicken sandwich, Frosty, and fries!wpid-20150126_111642.jpg Possibly the most unusual combination of amazingness to have ever been called a salad!

I love when they’re buddies! Nothin’ says love like planning your Clashing Clans raids together!wpid-20150125_093247.jpgLittle S snuggled up with her kitty – Jaspurrrrrrr

wpid-20150201_161013.jpgThat pretty much sums up my week! I’m still struggling to fit it all in, but I’ll be damned if I’m not trying!

This coming week, I want to work on taking more notes. That will make these posts so much easier to write!

QOTD – How did January treat you? Are you still on track with your goals?

After failing at 2014 miles last year, I wasn’t sure I would be motivated enough to try to hit 2015 this year, but reaching 100+ in a month really lights a fire under my behind!

Hey Deborah! Thanks for stopping by! I’ve never run this much in my life!! I’m trying to be mindful of how my body is reacting, the last thing I need or want is an injury! I feel like I’m well on my way to reaching 2015 miles this year!

      Thanks Denise <3
Sometimes I feel like I put fried eggs on everything! I love the texture of a runny yolk on my greens! And it's just enough to make my brain think there's dressing! I've honestly never poached an egg- that's one culinary adventure that kind of scares me!!! I don't know why it would but hey....I'm a weird kind of gal!

Those meals looked fabulous, I am seriously hungry now:)
It’s hard to get up early to run. I run every morning, but right now my idea of getting out early is getting my butt up out of bed by 9am, LOL I know that’s like practically afternoon for some:) But I keep having too many late nights, 9am is like early morning for me:) at least right now!
But great job on your workouts and runs!!! Great mileage!

    • Amanda Medau says:

I think I would die of happy sleeps if I could sleep until 9 on a regular basis!!! I seem to be a natural night owl but I really want to change that- I’m so much more productive when I can get my runs done early in the morning.

    • Amanda Medau says:

Thank you so much! I’m trying to keep my focus on just being a little better each day! I have to say that fish sandwich is a guilty pleasure! I used the Gorton’s Tilapia sticks- they are so crunchy and tasty!
